About the position

The Financial Analyst role at PayPal is focused on supporting the SMB FP&A team, particularly for the MicroBusiness organization. This position involves managing a significant P&L, providing comprehensive financial planning and analysis support, and driving strategic growth initiatives. The analyst will collaborate across various functions to deliver financial insights and support decision-making processes, contributing to the growth of the 'no-store' merchant segment.

Responsibilities

• Manage P&L Forecasting and Reporting: Run the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for the product's P&L, including maintaining financial models and preparing detailed KPI analyses.
• Strategic Analysis and Insights: Analyze key performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support Commercial/Product Team: Partner with key stakeholders on FP&A matters, conducting financial reviews and developing business cases for growth initiatives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across commercial, product, marketing, risk management, analytics, and pricing to maximize financial performance.
• Decision Support: Provide financial insights to support decision-making processes and ensure alignment with forecast and budgetary requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience, with at least 2 years in FP&A or related finance roles, with a strong background in managing P&Ls and finance models in Excel.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SQL is advantageous.
• Familiarity with FP&A tools such as Oracle, SAP, Anaplan, or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to build and interpret complex financial models using Excel.
