About the position

The Rory Meyers College of Nursing at New York University is seeking a dedicated Financial Analyst to join its Post-Award Grant Office. This role is crucial for the day-to-day financial administration and management support of the College's active research portfolio. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for overseeing budgets and facilitating financial transactions, including payroll allocation and effort tracking. The position requires the implementation and assistance in developing internal control procedures, as well as providing detailed analyses of grant budgets. This includes engaging in discussions regarding prioritization and programmatic goals, preparing monthly reconciliations, and generating financial reports. In addition to these responsibilities, the Financial Analyst will provide guidance to the research community within the College on various financial and administrative matters. This role will also involve partnering and managing relationships with NYU research offices to ensure smooth workflows and compliance with departmental, institutional, and federal regulations. Furthermore, the Financial Analyst will serve as a backup for the Grant Administrator position as needed for pre-award tasks, ensuring continuity and support within the team.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of relevant financial management experience or equivalent combination, including grant experience and experience with expense review, financial analysis, and budget management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in an academic/higher education setting.
  • Experience with sponsored project financial management.
  • Presentation or training skills.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of USD $70,000.00 to USD $78,100.00 based on experience and qualifications.
