About the position

The Financial Analyst at Extron USA will play a crucial role in the company's financial operations by creating, analyzing, and maintaining various reports that are essential for management decision-making. This position is integral to the financial reporting process, which includes monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting, as well as ad hoc reporting and data mining related to the General Ledger and other internal data sources. The Financial Analyst will be expected to provide insights and recommendations based on their analysis, helping to drive the company's financial strategy and operational efficiency. In this role, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for creating and monitoring reports that relate to the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and relevance. They will analyze internal reporting data to provide management with insights regarding customers and products, which is vital for strategic planning. Additionally, the analyst will be tasked with reconciling data to ensure that the reports presented are accurate and reliable. A key aspect of the job will involve comprehending and analyzing cost data and various expenses in relation to standard costing, which will require a keen eye for detail and a strong analytical mindset. The Financial Analyst will also be expected to communicate effectively with financial and government auditors, fulfilling various requests and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying issues that need management's attention, as well as the ability to solve problems and maintain confidentiality in all financial matters. Responsibilities

  • Create, monitor, and maintain reporting in relation to General Ledger.
  • Analyze internal reporting for management in relation to customers and products.
  • Reconciliation of data in relation to reports being presented.
  • Comprehend and analyze cost data and various expenses in relation to standard costing.
  • Recommend to management issues relating to variances in reports.
  • Ability to communicate, comprehend, and fulfill various requests for financial and government auditors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data mining, and financial reports preferably in manufacturing.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suites with advanced Excel knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to initiate issues needing attention to management, problem solver, enthusiastic, maintain confidentiality and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiar with ERP systems in Manufacturing work environment.
  • Experience with various data mining and data manipulation techniques.
  • Helpful to have knowledge of Business Intelligence software, such as, Power BI.

Benefits

  • Salary range: $80,000 to $95,000. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
