About the position

The Financial Analyst will report directly to the CFO and provide comprehensive support in financial planning and analysis. This role focuses on creating and maintaining dynamic financial models, capital budgeting, investment analysis, and understanding real estate and housing financing mechanics to drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust financial models, including cash flow projections, budgets, and forecasts, to assist in strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze real estate and housing financing strategies, evaluating their impact on financial performance.
  • Support the Controller in capital budgeting and investment analysis initiatives by assessing project feasibility, ROI, and risk assessment.
  • Enhance financial processes through programming capabilities, streamlining data collection, analysis, and reporting procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for executive management, providing insights into key financial metrics and trends.
  • Contribute to ongoing financial variance analysis, identifying areas of improvement and suggesting corrective actions.
  • Aid in monitoring and reporting on the organization's financial performance, highlighting potential opportunities or risks.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with teams to gather relevant financial information and ensure accurate reporting.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in building and maintaining complex financial models, including cash flow projections, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Strong understanding of real estate and housing financing mechanisms, with the ability to analyze and interpret their impact on financial performance.
  • Experience in capital budgeting, investment analysis, and evaluating ROI for projects.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with project management experience considered a plus.
  • Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills to effectively partner with cross-functional teams.
  • Reliable and dedicated with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
