About the position

The Financial Analyst position at HHM Hotels is an entry-level role that reports directly to the Manager of Analysis Banking. The primary responsibilities of this position include compiling, reviewing, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on banking, operational, and financial data across various systems. The role is crucial for supporting the financial health of the organization by providing accurate and timely financial insights. In this role, the Financial Analyst will utilize various reporting tools to perform daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, leveraging all available technology to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities. The analyst will assist in the implementation of new tools and reports, focusing on banking, credit card transactions, and financial trends. Additionally, the position involves developing and maintaining standard reporting templates that support financial results, ensuring that management receives timely feedback on financial analysis for individual hotels, regions, or the entire portfolio as assigned. The Financial Analyst will also support the employee expense reimbursement system (Concur Solutions), which includes setting up accounts, making changes, and generating reports. As part of the learning process, the analyst will support Shared Services accountants and act as a primary backup for their responsibilities. Effective communication, both verbal and written, is essential for providing clear and precise data analysis. Furthermore, the analyst is expected to follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program and to practice safe work habits. Other duties may be assigned by management as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Compile, review, analyze, interpret, and report banking, operational, and financial data.
  • Utilize reporting tools for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
  • Assist in implementing new tools, reports, and technology for data analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including advanced skills with Excel.
