About the position

We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating financial models, and providing insights to support strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic business decisions.
• Create and maintain financial models.
• Develop new financial reports and track KPIs.
• Conduct budget and variance analysis, explaining budget variances.
• Work with large linked Excel files, utilizing v-lookups, pivot tables, and sum-ifs.
• Understand and apply GAAP, the General Ledger, and the Chart of Accounts.
• Read and apply financial terms of vendor contracts, validating invoices against executed contract terms.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and external vendors to ensure timely payment and execution of invoices and POs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, specifically in fund accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years of financial analysis experience in a hospital or similar environment.
• Experience as a mid-level financial/budget analyst.
• Experience developing new financial reports and tracking KPIs.
• Proficient in Excel, including v-lookups, pivot tables, and sum-ifs.
• Understanding of GAAP, the General Ledger, and the Chart of Accounts.
• Experience creating, building, and maintaining financial models.
• Experience working with a major financial ERP (e.g., Infor Lawson).
• Ability to read, understand, and apply financial terms of vendor contracts.
