About the position

The Financial Analyst position at The LiRo Group involves supporting the corporate accounting team in managing the monthly close process, forecasting, and financial analysis. The role is integral to monitoring project progress and ensuring effective reporting systems are in place. The position offers a hybrid work schedule and is part of a dynamic team within a leading construction management and engineering firm.

Responsibilities

• Assist corporate accounting with the reporting and control of the monthly close process, quarterly and yearly forecasting and planning.
• Analyze financial results; monitor variances; identify trends; recommend actions to management.
• Develop and manage information systems for monitoring project progress and controlling reporting systems.
• Follow established procedures to evaluate project results regarding schedule, costs, client relationships, quality, activities, and other performance metrics.
• Interact with project managers and business unit heads to manage objectives, goals, and performance.

Requirements

• Minimum of a BS or BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Construction Management, Project Management, or Engineering.
• 2-7 years of experience in a related role.
• Experience/knowledge of the engineering/architecture/construction industry preferred.
• Knowledge of project controls principles relating to budgeting, scheduling, tracking of actual/committed costs, change control, and forecasting.
• Advanced experience developing pivot tables and macros in Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Proficient use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage complex projects with multiple work phases.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the engineering/architecture/construction industry.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and macros.
