About the position

The Financial Analyst position at Aventiv is responsible for preparing monthly financial reports and maintaining budgeting systems. The role involves assisting with budgeting functions and performing analyses to enhance revenue and EBITDA. The analyst will become a subject matter expert in the areas they support and the reporting tools utilized by the finance team. This is a hybrid position based out of the Plano office.

Responsibilities

• Update the monthly financial package using TM1 reporting software, including Income Statement, OPEX reporting, Headcount, and various operating metrics reporting.
• Calculate monthly SG&A vertical allocation and upload to TM1 cubes; maintain monthly SG&A and headcount BVA reports.
• Upload billing information into TM1 cube for monthly revenue reports; compare results to budget and prior periods; research exceptions and provide explanations for large budget variances.
• Analyze and review large volumes of data to report profitability by facility and products; research journal entries for variance explanations.
• Track spending by vendor/project and compare with budget amounts; complete forecasting, month-end close reconciliations, and various ad-hoc analyses.
• Prepare annual budgets for at least one organization; gather data, enter salary and SG&A details in budget templates, and upload in TM1 for each department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in budgeting, reporting, and analysis.
• Proficient in using Excel (PivotTable, Vlookup/Hlookup, Sumif, If, etc.) and other data retrieval applications.
• Solid accounting/finance background.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or related field of study
• MBA with solid accounting background
• Telecommunications experience
• Proficient in using GP, SQL, and TM1
• 3 years of experience in FP&A
• Experience calculating sales commissions.
