The Financial Analyst in General Accounting will perform essential general accounting functions for the company. This role will involve liaising with various teams, including payroll, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), transactional finance, treasury, tax, and bakery finance. The successful candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge and a commitment to the accuracy and completeness of financial data. This position will assist in the year-end financial audit and will be involved in various special projects, along with other duties required to meet the company's objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in completing the month-end closing process and ensure that deadlines are met
  • Prepare various month-end balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Prepare and upload weekly and monthly journal entries for, and not limited to, Concur, Payroll, and Treasury
  • Assist in the year-end external financial audit
  • Ensure a strong internal control environment and ensure the Company's controls and procedures are enforced/established related to centralized general accounting
  • Support and participate in special projects as assigned
  • Assist with activities related to system implementations and automation projects related to general accounting
  • Perform any other duties required to successfully execute this role

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience with knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Intermediate-Expert in Excel (Pivot tables, v-lookups, macros)
  • Strong system and analysis skills; SAP experience is preferable
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to changes in processes, as needed
  • Proficient computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, etc.)
  • Able to prioritize financial and operational activities
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
