About the position

The Financial Analyst position at Deaconess Abundant Life Communities is a full-time role that reports directly to the CFO. This key member of the finance team is responsible for performing financial reporting and analysis to evaluate the organization's operating performance and support decision-making processes. The role emphasizes the importance of providing quality housing and wellness services for aging individuals, aligning financial strategies with the organization's mission.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis to support business needs.
• Prepare both ad hoc and routine reports to evaluate the organization's operating performance.
• Develop reports, executive summaries, and presentations to aid decision-making.
• Analyze statistical, financial, and qualitative information to provide key observations.
• Support project management for key organizational initiatives.
• Identify financial status by comparing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Improve financial status by analyzing results and monitoring variances.
• Communicate results effectively to stakeholders and policymakers through organized presentations.
• Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
• Increase productivity by developing automated accounting applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1-3 years of finance experience in healthcare.
• Superior analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and quality management.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Extensive Excel knowledge and experience with report writers and/or MS SQL.
• Project management experience.
