About the position

The Financial Analyst at Pennsylvania Transformer Technology, LLC will play a pivotal role in analyzing financial data and preparing comprehensive reports to support strategic decision-making within the Power Solutions Division. This position is essential for ensuring that financial insights are effectively communicated to management and stakeholders, thereby facilitating informed business decisions. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for conducting thorough financial analyses, including variance and trend analyses, as well as forecasting to provide actionable insights that align with the organization's goals. In addition to financial analysis, the Financial Analyst will prepare and present financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. These reports will be shared with PSD management, the finance departments, and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity in financial performance. The role also involves assisting in the development and monitoring of budgets, ensuring that financial plans are in line with organizational objectives. Data management is another critical aspect of this position, as the Financial Analyst will maintain and update financial databases to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Cost analysis will be a key responsibility, where the analyst will identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements. Compliance with financial regulations and standards is paramount, and the Financial Analyst will assist with both internal and external audits to ensure adherence to these requirements. Collaboration with various internal departments is essential for gathering financial data and providing insights that support operational efficiency. The Financial Analyst will also be tasked with performing ad hoc financial project and product analyses as required by management, showcasing the need for strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting to support business decisions.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, to PSD management, PTT finance departments, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Maintain and update financial databases, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial information.
  • Analyze costs and identify cost savings and efficiency improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Work closely with various internal departments to gather financial data and provide financial insights to support operational efficiency.
  • Perform ad hoc financial project and product analysis as management requires.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a manufacturing and service organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
