About the position

The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in a Non-Profit Organization by leveraging analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide insights that guide business decisions. This position involves forecasting future revenue and expenses, budgeting to align resources with the organization's mission, and conducting variance analysis to ensure fiscal responsibility and programmatic goals are met.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate future revenue streams and expenses for strategic planning.
  • Project donations, grants, and other income based on historical data and trends.
  • Estimate potential costs for ongoing and future programs.
  • Translate forecasts into a detailed financial plan.
  • Ensure resources are allocated efficiently to align with the organization's mission.
  • Compare actual financial results to the budget throughout the year.
  • Identify discrepancies or variances in financial results.
  • Help management adjust forecasts and realign spending based on insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-3 years of experience in financial analysis and modeling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial data manipulation and analysis.
