About the position

We are seeking two detail-oriented and dedicated Financial Analysts to join our accounting team in Milan, IL. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and contributing to the overall financial health of our organization. The Financial Analyst will prepare financial statements, support mergers and acquisitions, and recommend improvements to accounting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
• Maintain and balance an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data.
• Provide accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; convert data to the general ledger system; obtain supplementary information for preparing financial statements.
• Analyze current procedures and recommend changes to develop and implement best practice accounting procedures.
• Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• At least 1-5 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
• Experience in Public Accounting preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
