About the position

The Financial Analyst position at Lear Corporation in McCalla, Alabama, is a key role within the Plant Accounting Team. The analyst will be responsible for various financial tasks including daily invoicing, sales reconciliation, general ledger account reconciliation, and month-end close processes. This role requires collaboration with commercial account managers and shared services to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and update customer selling prices in collaboration with the Commercial Account Manager.
• Track and reconcile all price changes against the bump chart with commercial teams.
• Maintain customer master files in coordination with Shared Services.
• Perform daily invoicing and ensure data integrity, including sales reconciliation to the general ledger.
• Analyze discrepancies between customer payments and billing, including retroactive adjustments.
• Monitor cash collection and collaborate with Shared Services/Commercial Account Manager for past due collections.
• Identify root causes of billing discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
• Process month-end journal entries and reconcile accounts receivable and key reserve accounts.
• Provide forecasts for Sales, AR, and cash receipts.
• Respond to external and internal audits to ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Handle various ad hoc requests and projects for Division and plant personnel.

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Proven analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley and reporting requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Hyperion HFM, Hyperion Enterprise, Hyperion Retrieve or equivalent.
• Prior automotive experience preferred.
