About the position

JR Automation is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. This is a hybrid role located at our headquarters in Holland, MI. In this role, you will generate and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting. You will support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes by collaborating on forward-thinking processes, setting timelines and assumptions, and updating or building templates as needed, primarily using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. Additionally, you will assist in the review of various reporting needs and conduct financial modeling for various ad hoc analyses. You will be expected to contact and network within the organization to collect data and assist with analysis, working with other team members to develop the stories behind the numbers. Functioning as a key business partner with the organization, you will partner with our SG&A global leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and reviewing adherence to dynamic targets. Collaboration with finance team members on financial analysis and critical thinking will be essential to support business decisions effectively. Your responsibilities will also include analyzing and summarizing 3-statement models, assessing financial performance, and helping to identify and quantify risks and opportunities. You will work independently on complex problems, conduct activities with integrity, and manage confidential and sensitive information with a very strong level of professionalism. All activities must be conducted in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, and established JR Automation policies. Travel may be required, possibly up to 5%, mostly likely only within the US, and you will work in various settings, including corporate offices, various facilities, and remote.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of experience in a professional finance position
  • Exposure to a manufacturing or job cost accounting environment preferred
  • Exposure to accounting systems, controls, and reporting
  • Experience with ERP, CPM (such as OneStream or Hyperion), and CRM systems in an automation or manufacturing setting
  • Highly analytical with proven skills in problem solving and attention to detail
  • Experience with confidential information (including compensation, restructuring, and M&A)
  • Advanced computer software skills; experience with Business Intelligence tools
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills

Nice-to-haves
