About the position

As a Financial Analyst at DTE Gas Company, you will play a crucial role in various business financial processes, including financial planning, forecasting, and consolidating detailed financial budgets. Your responsibilities will include reporting and analyzing business performance, as well as performing system maintenance. The scope and number of processes you will handle may vary depending on the team you are assigned to. This position requires a proactive approach to analyzing data and developing conclusions that will inform business decisions. You will be expected to organize your work independently while also collaborating effectively within teams. Additionally, you will generate reports from a variety of corporate system applications, which will be essential for tracking financial performance and supporting strategic initiatives. This role may also require you to undergo FERC gas training to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Liberal Arts.
• Three years of accounting experience in business, public accounting, or financial systems.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and develop conclusions.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others.
• Proficient verbal, nonverbal, written and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to organize work independently and to work in teams.
• PC Proficiency, including experience with MS Office Products.

Nice-to-haves

• Specialization in Accounting, Finance or Technical Discipline (CPA, CMA or MBA).
