About the position

The Financial Analyst - Sales Finance at Flora Food Group will support financial and analytical insights related to Trade Spend and Gross to Net Sales for the US Market. This role involves preparing reports to analyze customer performance, trade spend, and retailer performance, and is critical to the month-end close process. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, analyzing P&L expense accounts, and assessing balance sheet positions, as well as leading financial planning and forecasting efforts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reporting to analyze customer performance, trade spend, and retailer performance.
• Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and analyzing P&L expense accounts.
• Build financial plans and forecasts, including annual external financial audits.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting, budgeting, and tracking of target plans for Gross to Net Sales.
• Perform monthly financial analysis on actual results compared to forecasts/budgets to drive insights for business performance improvement.
• Develop flexible financial models with clean and insightful outputs.
• Create reports to help business counterparts measure performance and explain variances to expectations.
• Implement process improvements for managing, analyzing, and reporting on Sales and Trade Spending with cross-functional teams.
• Provide ad-hoc support through data analysis for various financial business scenarios and core business processes.
• Prepare monthly financial control activities including reconciliations and variance analysis, and review of the general ledger.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
• 2-3+ years of financial or accounting experience with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent understanding of financial metrics and processes.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Solid understanding of ERP and Reporting Systems, with SAP knowledge as an asset.

Benefits

• Base salary up to $90,000
