About the position

Adient, a global leader in automotive seating, is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing financial information related to costs, pricing, revenue, and expenses, while performing monthly analyses of financial results. This role encompasses accounting for multiple legal entities, each with separate books of accounting, and requires a strong general accounting background, particularly in fixed assets and accounts payables. The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and operational governance, effectively communicating complex operational concepts to various stakeholders outside the organization. In this position, the Financial Analyst will coordinate and lead preparations for year-end third-party financial audits for multiple legal entities, conducting these audits at least twice a fiscal year. The role also involves managing and implementing a robust internal audit program to maintain a constant state of readiness for compliance audits conducted by corporate entities throughout the fiscal year. The analyst will oversee the capital acquisition request process and fixed asset management accounting, complete journal entries and account reconciliations for three separate legal entities, and support the annual profit plan and monthly outlook/forecast for these entities. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (Section 404) and the Business Operating System (BOS), while also supporting safety programs within the company. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to challenge operational leadership appropriately, and a steadfast approach to gathering necessary information in a complex and fast-paced environment. Other duties may be assigned by the Plant Controller or CFO as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and organize preparations for year-end 3rd party financial audits for multiple legal entities at least twice a fiscal year.
  • Manage and implement a robust internal audit program for compliance audits throughout the fiscal year.
  • Oversee the capital acquisition request process and fixed asset management accounting.
  • Account for customer directed supplier processes.
  • Complete journal entries and account reconciliations for three separate legal entities.
  • Support the annual profit plan and monthly outlook/forecast for three separate legal entities.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (Section 404) and the Business Operating System (BOS).
  • Support safety programs for the company.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Plant Controller and/or CFO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years of accounting/financial experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • CMA, CPA, or MBA is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals and financial reports.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from customers and management.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Computer literate and familiar with appropriate software programs.
  • Ability to create visual aids for communication purposes.
  • Familiarity with HFM, MFG/Pro, SAP, and Monarch preferred.

Nice-to-haves
