About the position

The Financial Analyst will support the Supply Chain Finance Team at Scotts Miracle-Gro, focusing on financial analysis, reporting, and process execution. This role involves collaborating with various teams to track key metrics, manage financial processes, and provide insights that drive strategic decision-making. The position requires flexibility, effective prioritization, and the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Partner with finance and purchasing functions to analyze financial results and develop monthly forecasts.
• Manage risks and opportunities while effectively communicating business trends and recommending solutions.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support the organization's strategic plan.
• Support and understand new projects impacting purchasing and manufacturing efficiencies.
• Offer creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
• Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks as it correlates to monthly metrics.
• Consult with management to guide and influence long-term and strategic decision-making.
• Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function.

Requirements

• Completed Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 0-2 Years of professional working experience.
• Proven working experience as a Finance Analyst.
• Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications such as SAP.
• Exhibit intellectual curiosity and the ability to effectively analyze and evaluate problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to establish relationships with business partners for effective results.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
