About the position

The Financial Analyst will support regional operations in the U.S. and Canada by providing financial analysis, reporting, and process improvements aimed at optimizing operational effectiveness. This role involves developing and maintaining financial models, creating reports, and contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and asset management for maritime workshops. Collaboration with various teams is essential to ensure data-driven insights for business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Update monthly and quarterly reports daily, including KPI dashboards for operations.
  • Build financial models to track operational performance and analyze trends across departments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting by managing data sources and quality checks.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, supporting long-term financial planning.
  • Evaluate current workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of reporting processes, exploring automation tools.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of an asset management tool across workshops.
  • Provide reporting support for monthly business reviews and update presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in FP&A, Financial Analyst, or similar operations-facing finance role.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and financial software/tools, specifically Power BI, Datawarehouse, VBA, Power Query & AX 2012 ERP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific operational finance practices and trends is a plus.
