About the position

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their finance team in Earth City, MO. This role focuses on accounts receivable and involves reviewing and approving new orders, supporting project management with invoicing, and performing basic financial reporting tasks. The position requires a proactive approach to managing accounts receivable and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve new orders for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Manage new order setup process to ensure smooth handover to project management team.
• Monitor order backlog and monthly revenue forecast for timely and accurate reporting.
• Monitor monthly invoicing for compliance with customer and company requirements.
• Manage and maintain accounts receivables for timely payments and timely dispute resolution.
• Reconcile accounts receivable discrepancies and take appropriate actions such as issuing credit memos and tax memos.
• Develop reporting processes to keep management updated on customer account balances and overall cash projections.
• Support the finance team with analyzing financial data and preparing reports as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial reporting, cost accounting, or accounts receivable.
• Strong experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and communicate effectively across multiple functions.
