About the position

The Financial Analyst position at Austin Telco Federal Credit Union is designed for individuals passionate about transforming data into actionable insights. This role supports the Finance Department by conducting in-depth financial analysis to assist with management decisions, financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities

• Prepare investment activity journal entries and maintain investment records.
• Maintain and reconcile various general ledger account analyses and subsidiary schedules.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly statistical reports and other analyses.
• Perform data entry into the Asset/Liability Management model for management reports.
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
• Review schedules prepared by others in the department.
• Perform various ad-hoc financial analyses.
• Research general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies and communicate findings to management.
• Work cross-functionally to develop goals and analyze performance.
• Adhere to credit union policies and applicable regulations.
• Apply member service practices to meet quality standards and achieve member satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and management.
• Attend necessary training to support the accounting department operations.

Requirements

• A four-year accounting/finance degree is preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves
