This position provides oversight and reporting of the Indiana Department of Correction financial services for assigned funds. The individual will be responsible for approving requisitions and reports of collections, preparing budget impact statements, and all relevant reporting and analysis for funds. The incumbent will create an annual spending plan, biennial budget requests, and biweekly year-end forecasting. Additionally, this individual will request the creation of, and approve, General Ledger journal entries. The essential functions of this role include certifying the accurate reporting of agency financial data, assisting the controller in developing annual and biennium budgets, and monitoring expenditures to ensure compliance with grant provisions. The role also involves reviewing contracts to verify funding sources and adherence to the annual budget, preparing financial data for monthly and quarterly reviews, and assisting in the development of performance measures for contracts and programs.
