About The Position

We are looking for a motivated individual who is eager to learn and grow within the finance and accounting field, particularly in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you will work closely with your manager to conduct and document complex financial analysis projects. You will assist with the monthly close process, which may involve accounting accruals and journal entries, as well as analyzing cost and expense-related accounts. Your responsibilities will include preparing schedules and reports, completing projects that drive business results, and analyzing management reports that cover various aspects of our operations, such as historical cost analyses and budget comparisons. You will also review plant policies and manufacturing statements to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines, assist in the preparation of the annual operating plan, and help compile monthly and annual performance forecasts. Your analytical skills will be crucial as you verify the accuracy of journal entries and assist plant functional groups in maintaining accurate cost and inventory records. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply and interpret generally accepted accounting principles while gaining valuable experience in the food manufacturing industry.
