About the position

The Financial Analyst at Best Choice Products is a critical role focused on tracking the company's financial performance, analyzing business metrics, and supporting senior management in making informed tactical and strategic decisions. This position requires a highly analytical self-starter who can adapt to a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively across departments to enhance reporting procedures and financial insights.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain monthly financials including budgets, forecasts, and finance-related reports, identifying potential areas of cost savings.
  • Consolidate data from multiple sources and ensure data integrity.
  • Design and develop new reporting solutions to enhance visibility on all aspects of business performance.
  • Communicate with other departments to maintain consistent reporting quality across all areas.
  • Support corporate strategic initiatives by defining and developing routine tasks to achieve organizational milestones.
  • Conduct financial decision analysis, including ROI assessments as part of the contract review and approval process.
  • Analyze current and past financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain and develop various financial models and standard templates for use during planning processes, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Utilize financial analysis techniques to provide practical counsel to business partners and management to drive results.
  • Prepare presentations for functional leadership regarding business performance and issues.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses to support audit requests and special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant FP&A experience.
  • Experience with or knowledge of e-commerce or retail industries.
  • Understanding of GAAP, corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis, costing/profitability methodologies, and business theories.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling skills (pivot tables, graphing, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel VBA skills are a must.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate costs and benefits, solve complex problems, and link financial results to operational activities.
  • Experience in financial reporting for month-end and preparing full-year budgets and forecasts.
  • Experience in developing financial close automation tools (e.g., vendor data importing and reconciliation with internal ERP records).
  • Financial systems experience, particularly in NetSuite, HighJump (WMS), or similar systems.
  • Data warehouse/business intelligence experience such as Looker, Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI, or Cognos.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to respond effectively to inquiries from various management levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present complex issues clearly and impactfully.
  • Self-motivated team player who can organize and prioritize workload while managing deadlines.
