About the position

The Financial Analyst at Gold Creek Foods is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial data to support strategic decision-making within the organization. This role involves collaboration with accounting and external partners to ensure precision in inventory and asset management, as well as conducting thorough financial analysis to enhance financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate financial data to internal business partners.
• Collaborate with accounting and external partners for inventory and asset management.
• Oversee and ensure accurate weekly closing activities as needed.
• Reconcile inventory accounts, including finished goods, meat, ingredients, and packaging in Sage.
• Reconcile spare parts, prepare weekly journal entries, and track maintenance efficiencies.
• Manage fixed assets by tracking capital expenditures and CIP accounts while ensuring compliance with Gold Creek policies and GAAP.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis and explain key financial indicators promptly.
• Enhance financial performance by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and suggesting improvements to management.
• Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
• Assist the Finance/Accounting team with additional tasks as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience required.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Excellent time management skills.
