About the position

Chart Industries is seeking a remote Financial Analyst to join our team, primarily supporting the VP of Finance in financial reporting and analysis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing new tools and processes that enhance decision-making and provide visibility into key financial metrics for the leadership team. This position requires coordination with individual unit finance leaders to ensure adherence to reporting deadlines and the accuracy and completeness of financial information. The Financial Analyst will also support various business units with reporting and special projects as assigned by the VP of Finance. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting for the Aftermarket division. You will participate in the preparation and review of the monthly forecast, strategic plan, and annual budget. Additionally, you will prepare Group Reporting Packs on a monthly basis and analyze key numbers for accuracy. Engaging in continuous improvement for processes related to financial reporting will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, along with assisting with cash improvement and acceleration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and possess 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis and reporting. You should be commercially astute, with a strong desire to understand the business and an analytical mindset. The ability to make quick and clear decisions based on materiality and financial reporting risk is essential. Excellent communication skills are required to influence and persuade others, and you should be enthusiastic and proactive in taking on challenges to further your professional development. This role demands the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while being culturally aware and possessing excellent people skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the VP Finance in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Develop new tools and processes to assist the leadership team in decision-making.
  • Coordinate with individual unit finance leaders on reporting requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to reporting deadlines and accuracy of information.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting for the Aftermarket division.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of the monthly forecast, strategic plan, and annual budget.
  • Prepare Group Reporting Packs on a monthly basis and analyze key numbers for accuracy.
  • Assist with reporting to and from the Chart consolidation system (Onestream).
  • Engage in continuous improvement for processes related to financial reporting.
  • Assist with cash improvement and acceleration initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3-5 years of experience with financial analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with consolidated reporting including consolidation systems.
  • Commercially astute with a desire to understand the business.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to make quick decisions based on materiality and financial reporting risk.
