About the position

The Financial Analyst position at Western Midstream is integral to the Midstream Commercial Strategy Team, focusing on analysis and support for business development and strategic opportunities in the Delaware Basin. The role requires collaboration with various teams to provide insights and guidance on financial and operational data, contributing to the company's growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support the analysis of commercial development and strategic opportunities
• Create and evaluate type curves and production forecasts
• Maintain throughput forecasts for the Delaware Basin (oil, gas, and water)
• Manage periodic reporting processes and drive improvements and efficiencies
• Run various economic analyses including break-even analysis, IRR, NPV, etc.
• Research, analyze, and compile competitive intelligence on customers and competitors
• Provide financial statement analysis on customers and competitors
• Monitor M&A activity in the Delaware Basin

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of industry or related experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlines
• Self-motivated and strong work ethic
• Ability to analyze data and reach own conclusions
• Independent thinker with the ability to problem solve
• Proactive learner
• Takes accountability and continually strives to drive improvement
• Experience analyzing well data and creating type curves preferred
