About the position

The Financial Analyst role at Trimble involves providing essential accounting and finance support to the Civil Construction Field Systems sector. The position requires collaboration with the Director of Finance and focuses on financial analyses, business modeling, and reporting to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provides general accounting, audit, and compliance support to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assists in the forecasting and performance reporting process for short-term and long-range planning cycles.
• Develops automated reporting and data visualizations to drive efficiency and improve decision-making quality.
• Conducts in-depth analytical investigations to provide insights into business trends and drivers.
• Produces meaningful variance analysis that tells the underlying story of the business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (MBA a plus).
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a larger technology-related business.
• Understanding of GAAP, including accounting for subscription services and construction projects.
• Proven business modeling and forecasting skills, including modeling of project-based revenues and recurring subscriptions.
• Advanced to expert proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and look-ups.
• Advanced to expert proficiency in G-Suite office tools, specifically Google Sheets and Google Slides.
• Ability to analyze, consolidate, and automate reporting from enterprise reporting systems.

Nice-to-haves
