About the position

As a Financial Analyst at PHINIA, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our aftermarket operations. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing comprehensive business case financial analyses for various customer opportunities presented by the sales team, which will be presented to senior management for decision-making. You will also evaluate and implement change requests on various materials, ensuring that our financial practices align with our operational goals. An essential part of your role will involve reviewing accounts receivable aging in collaboration with our shared service center to identify past due items and drive their resolution effectively. In addition to these responsibilities, you will prepare advanced reporting for accounts receivables, perform detailed financial analyses, and assist both the finance and accounting teams with ad hoc projects as needed. Your expertise will also be utilized in assisting with forecast and budget preparation, as well as in product line profitability reporting. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work with large datasets, ensuring that all financial reporting is accurate and insightful. Responsibilities

  • Prepare business case financial analysis on different customer opportunities presented by the sales team to present to senior management
  • Evaluate and implement change requests on various materials and perform annual standard cost analysis
  • Review accounts receivable aging with shared service center to identify past due items and drive resolution
  • Prepare advanced reporting for accounts receivables
  • Perform financial analysis and assist both the finance & accounting teams with ad hoc projects as needed
  • Assist with forecast/budget preparation
  • Assist in product line profitability reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, analysis, and accounting principles
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and communication (written & verbal) skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
  • Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint - SAP
  • Ability to work in a fast moving, dynamic team environment

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or CPA qualification is a plus
  • Strong initiative to improve processes and gain efficiencies while maintaining objectives
