• Supports financial analysis and reporting function for various institutional funding sources including federal appropriation, trust funds, and foundation awards.
• Monitors expenditures and reports on budget to actual activity.
• Provides forecasting and trend analyses necessary for evaluating the financial health of the organization.
• Performs reconciliations for various funds by reviewing accounts and financial records.
• Assists in the design and development of new financial reports and layout improvements to existing reports.
• Incorporates data visualization techniques and performs reconciliation and validation of data.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of financial analyst experience, ideally from a research setting.
• Knowledge of research administration and sponsored research.
• Accounting knowledge, though no accounting will take place in this role.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Macros, Pivot Tables, VLookUps, and Data Sets.
• Experience handling data analytics.
• Financial reporting experience with federal appropriations, trust funds, and foundation awards.
