About the position
Our client is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for their manufacturing facility near Newport News, VA. This role is crucial in analyzing and forecasting financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information that supports strategic and operational decisions. The Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with the Operations, Maintenance, and Finance teams to identify key weekly indicators and produce comprehensive financial reporting. This includes generating weekly reports that cover various metrics, including warehouse counts, which are essential for maintaining operational efficiency and financial accuracy. In addition to regular reporting, the Financial Analyst will head the budget planning and forecasting processes throughout the facility. This involves not only preparing budgets but also monitoring financial performance against these budgets and making necessary adjustments based on operational needs and market conditions. The role requires a proactive approach to financial analysis, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and presented in a manner that supports decision-making at all levels of the organization. Responsibilities
- Analyze and forecast financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions.
- Work with the Operations, Maintenance, and Finance teams to identify weekly indicators and other financial reporting.
- Produce weekly reports including but not limited to warehouse counts.
- Head the budget planning, forecasting, and other requirements throughout the facility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 3+ years of Supply Chain or Analytical Manufacturing experience.
- Proficient in accounting practices and regulations.
