This position at Pinnacle Climate Technologies is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to providing air quality, comfort, and safety solutions. The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the company, assisting in the creation of business financial reporting packages, conducting financial analysis, and managing variance analysis. This role will also involve participating in the quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with business unit leadership, including the CFO, VP of Operations, and EVP of Sales, to drive financial results and manage P&L effectively. In this role, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparing monthly journal entries in accordance with GAAP, performing various account reconciliations, and addressing collections issues in collaboration with customers and internal sales teams. The position requires a proactive approach to financial oversight, including leading the CAPEX planning and analysis process, assisting operations teams with budget management, and creating streamlined reporting and dashboards to facilitate informed business decisions. The Financial Analyst will also become a subject matter expert in NetSuite ERP, training team members and enhancing visibility into departmental and customer profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance or accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment, and will exhibit a high level of autonomy and decision-making capabilities. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization are essential for success in this role. The Financial Analyst will also assist the Controller with year-end audits and develop standard costs while monitoring purchase price variances to identify opportunities for cost savings and trends.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with management and other departments to provide value-added financial and business analysis to drive business results.
  • Assist in the development and creation of quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries following GAAP, complete various monthly account reconciliations, COGS/Sales tie-outs, inventory and freight journal entries.
  • Lead the CAPEX planning and analysis process, including administration and analysis surrounding various CAPEX requests for the company.
  • Provide financial analysis and oversight to assist the operations team in managing their department budget.
  • Partner with various departments to identify their reporting needs and create streamlined reporting and dashboards.
  • Assist in driving business improvements through metrics and KPIs.
  • Learn and become a NetSuite ERP subject matter expert for the Finance group and train other team members.
  • Assist in the month-end close process, implementing best practices and leveraging technology for enhanced visibility into profitability.
  • Analyze customer program deductions to ensure compliance with contracted deductions.
  • Assist the Controller with year-end audit by providing financial review and analysis for auditor requests.
  • Develop standard costs and monitor purchase price variance, tracking cost savings vs. budget and prior year.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of Finance or Accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Finance or Accounting degree preferred.
  • NetSuite or ERP experience is preferable.
  • Exhibit a high level of autonomy with independent decision-making and project management skills.
  • Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong orientation for details.
  • Ability to work with teams across all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to shift priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; Financial Modeling experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling techniques.
