About the position

We are seeking a Junior Financial Analyst with a focus on AWS cost analysis to support our growing SaaS product team. This role involves working with finance and engineering teams to analyze and report on cloud costs, helping the company optimize resource usage, forecast spending, and achieve financial targets. It offers an opportunity to develop a solid foundation in cloud financial management while contributing to a dynamic SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze AWS usage, focusing on cost trends, variances, and potential savings for our SaaS product.
• Assist in monthly and quarterly budget planning and forecasting AWS expenses.
• Work with engineering teams to identify cost-saving opportunities in AWS services, such as Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and right-sizing resources.
• Prepare and present regular reports on AWS spend and cost optimization recommendations for the finance and operations teams.
• Support the finance team by building and maintaining models to project AWS costs and potential impacts of usage changes.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data from various AWS billing tools and third-party financial software to maintain accurate financial records.
• Work closely with finance, SRE, and engineering teams to understand infrastructure needs and optimize costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Internship or 1-2 years in financial analysis, cost analysis, or cloud infrastructure finance preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial modeling; experience with AWS cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Cloud Health, or Cloudability) is a plus.
• Understanding of cloud services, particularly AWS products and billing structures, is beneficial.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

• Experience with AWS cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Cloud Health, or Cloudability).
