About the position

Adient US LLC is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our fast-paced manufacturing environment in San Antonio, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing financial information related to costs, pricing, revenue, and expenses. This role involves performing monthly analyses of financial results and supporting the Senior Controller in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and presentations. The Financial Analyst will also play a key role in conducting internal audits and reconciliation efforts to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. In this position, the Financial Analyst will coordinate and organize preparations for year-end third-party financial audits for multiple legal entities, which will occur at least twice a fiscal year. The role requires managing and implementing a robust internal audit program to maintain a constant state of readiness for various compliance audits conducted by corporate entities throughout the fiscal year. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will oversee the capital acquisition request process and fixed asset management accounting, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing journal entries and account reconciliations for three separate legal entities, supporting the annual profit plan and monthly outlook/forecast for these entities. Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (Section 404) and the Business Operating System (BOS) is essential, as is supporting the company's safety programs. The Financial Analyst must demonstrate resilience and determination in pursuing the necessary information to fulfill their responsibilities in a complex and fast-paced manufacturing environment. Other duties may be assigned by the Plant Controller and/or CFO as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and organize preparations for year-end 3rd party financial audits for multiple legal entities at least twice a fiscal year.
  • Manage and implement a robust internal audit program for compliance audits throughout the fiscal year.
  • Oversee the capital acquisition request process and fixed asset management accounting.
  • Account for customer directed supplier processes.
  • Complete journal entries and account reconciliations for three separate legal entities.
  • Support the annual profit plan and monthly outlook/forecast for three separate legal entities.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (Section 404) and Business Operating System (BOS).
  • Support safety programs for the company.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Plant Controller and/or CFO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years of accounting/financial experience in a manufacturing environment.
