About the position

Child Care Associates is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. This full-time position requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, along with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or eligibility to obtain one within 36 months of employment. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, analysis, or a related field. The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial data, generating reports, and developing financial models that support forecasting and budgeting processes. This position is integral to making recommendations that support strategic decision-making within the organization. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement, preparing financial models to forecast future performance, and generating regular financial reports for management. This includes budget vs. actual analyses and preparing presentations for the CFO to communicate financial insights to stakeholders. The role also involves assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitoring financial performance against budgets, and providing variance analysis. The Financial Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data for analysis and support the CFO in strategic planning and decision-making. In addition to financial analysis, the Financial Analyst will ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, assist in audits and regulatory reporting, and support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly. The successful candidate must be highly organized, maintain privacy and confidentiality, and be able to pass a pre-employment and/or periodic physical examination and complete a background check every 24 months.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial data.
  • Generate regular financial reports for management, including budget vs. actual analyses.
  • Prepare presentations for the CFO to share with stakeholders to communicate financial insights.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
  • Provide guidance to departments regarding budget policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with grant and organizational standards.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data for analysis.
  • Support CFO in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Support Director of Finance with preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with grant and accounting standards.
  • Perform accounting reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard the organization assets.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in audits and regulatory reporting as needed.
  • Assist in assessment of financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations for mitigation or capitalizing on potential gains.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or eligibility to obtain CPA license within 36 months of employment.
  • Two years of experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, analysis or a related field.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, financial software).
  • Ability to keep accurate accounting records.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Must maintain privacy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment and/or periodic physical examination and complete background check every 24 months.
