About the position

The Financial Assistant at Hillcrest Hospital/Clinics Baylor Scott & White Health is responsible for preparing, verifying, and distributing financial reports related to financial operations and accounting systems. This role involves ensuring accuracy in financial documentation, responding to inquiries from internal and external customers, and maintaining an effective filing system for data retrieval. The position is 100% onsite, working Monday through Friday during daytime hours in an office setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, examines, and distributes accounting reports to assist management in decision-making.
  • Reviews accounting reports for accuracy and resolves discrepancies as needed.
  • Distributes financial statements or reports to appropriate management and departments in a timely manner.
  • Responds to inquiries and requests from internal and external customers professionally.
  • Maintains an effective filing system for prompt data retrieval and issue resolution.
  • Documents all actions performed and stores files in an organized manner.
  • Investigates discrepancies between various systems to ensure synchronization.
  • Performs other duties as required in a competent and professional manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Associate's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
