About the position

Markon, LLC is seeking a Financial/Budget Analyst to provide business and financial analysis support to government clients, particularly within the intelligence sector. This role emphasizes the importance of financial tracking, budget execution, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective program management and financial oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide business/financial analysis and consultation support to government client.
• Coordinate, review and monitor annual spend plans.
• Participate in program meetings and reviews.
• Monitor execution rates and inform management of potential issues.
• Fund contracts, Service Level Agreements and MIPRs.
• Work seamlessly with partner contractors and government personnel at all levels.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in financial tracking and support for government customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with government financial systems such as Momentum, Cognos, and CAPTURE.
• Experience in performing programmatic, costs, and schedule sensitivity analyses for multi-million dollar projects.
• Knowledgeable in financial monitoring and control, budget execution, and government finance and contracting.
• Ability to perform independent analyses, strategizing, planning, forecasting, and documenting from multiple large data sources.

Nice-to-haves

• Portfolio Management experience preferred.
