The Financial Budget Planning Analyst position at Booz Allen is a critical role that involves navigating the complexities of funding allocation within a large organization. As a financial analyst, you will be responsible for creating a financial management strategy that ensures your client's projects are adequately funded and can achieve their objectives. This role requires collaboration with project managers, schedulers, and task leads to develop actionable plans that secure necessary funding. You will leverage your expertise in laws, regulations, and policies to help clients articulate well-formed requirements for funding. Once funding is secured, you will track its usage to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, maintaining consistent communication with project stakeholders. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on high-level telecommunications procurement projects, applying your financial analysis skills to support defense communications. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that resources are allocated effectively, thereby maximizing the impact of funding on project outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial analysis, management methods, and a thorough understanding of the Department of Defense's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. Responsibilities

  • Create a financial management strategy to support client projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, schedulers, and task leads to develop actionable funding plans.
  • Assist clients in developing well-formed funding requirements based on laws and regulations.
  • Track funding usage to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicate consistently with project stakeholders regarding funding status and requirements.
  • Perform financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 18+ years of experience in financial planning, or a Master's degree and 15+ years of experience in financial planning.
  • Experience with performing financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
  • Experience with productivity and management methods, including quality control and budgetary status reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
