About the position

The Financial Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and improving financial processes within the client's operations. This role requires a strong background in financial accounting and reporting, as well as experience in process mapping and improvement. The analyst will work onsite in Ocoee, FL, collaborating closely with the Florida PALM Project Team and stakeholders to ensure the successful transition to new financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed current and future state process maps of Client's financial operations, identifying opportunities for improvement and alignment with Florida PALM system requirements.
• Lead the identification, documentation, and optimization of Client's financial processes.
• Conduct a comprehensive analysis and reconciliation of Client's Chart of Accounts (COA) to align with Florida PALM.
• Oversee the migration of financial data to the new system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Develop and implement new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for financial operations.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality and data accuracy.
• Collaborate with the Florida PALM Project Team and Client's stakeholders to ensure successful transition.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Experience in process mapping and improvement
• Proficiency in financial systems and data analysis tools
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Oracle or Transformation Implementations
• Experience with Power Query, PowerPivot
• Experience with process modeling software such as IBM Blueworks or Visio
