About the position

The Financial Business Analyst role at Meridian Technologies is a 6-month W2 contract position based in Brentwood, TN, focusing on financial systems and automation. The analyst will be responsible for identifying process improvement opportunities, managing large datasets, and leveraging automation tools to enhance efficiency. This position combines data analytics with financial systems knowledge to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making, while also managing accounting systems within SAP and serving as a Blackline Administrator.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and manage large datasets.
• Leverage automation tools to drive efficiency in financial operations.
• Provide actionable insights to enhance financial processes and support data-driven decision-making.
• Manage accounting systems within SAP and support system enhancements.
• Serve as the Blackline Administrator, ensuring effective governance of financial operations.
• Utilize data analytics techniques to analyze large financial and operational datasets.
• Implement automation solutions to enhance productivity and improve reporting quality.
• Respond to inquiries from executives and department management with data-backed insights.
• Support Internal and External Audit functions with accurate documentation.
• Assist in managing project tickets related to system enhancements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Analysis, or Accounting Systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proficiency in data analytics and financial modeling skills.
• Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Automate, Power BI), Snowflake, and Alteryx.
• Basic proficiency in SAP, particularly with SAP accounting system management.
• Understanding of Blackline administration, including system configuration and process automation.
• Basic project management skills and strong communication skills.

Nice-to-haves
