About the position

The Financial Business Analyst at Focus Management Group is responsible for interpreting financial results through various analytical techniques, including financial modeling and valuation analysis. The role involves data management, historic performance analysis, and effectively communicating findings to stakeholders. The analyst will work closely with Senior Managing Directors to manage client engagements and develop strategies to enhance cash flow and improve business processes.

Responsibilities

• Interpret financial results using statistical analysis and data aggregation techniques.
• Utilize proprietary analysis tools developed in Excel and Word to expand financial analysis as needed.
• Focus on financial modeling, valuation analysis, and data management.
• Conduct historic performance analysis and communicate findings in written reports.
• Perform cash flow forecasting and develop 13-week cash flows.
• Identify key issues affecting client company performance and develop refined analytical models.
• Create strategies to maximize cash flow and enhance business processes.
• Assist in preparing oral and written presentations for management, lenders, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in financial analysis.
• Outstanding analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to articulate complex business decisions clearly.
• High level of organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills and ability to meet deadlines.
