About the position

The position is responsible for conducting thorough analysis to identify appropriate solutions for complex business problems through the application of technology. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, application administration, system reviews, and process analysis in collaboration with various business units and the Information Services department. The individual will utilize requirements gathering methods to identify, validate, organize, document, and communicate requirements for priority or complex matters. Additionally, the position entails performing systems analysis and researching business unit requests for reports, data, and changes in application functionality. In this role, the individual will interact with staff from various business units to conduct business analysis, clearly documenting business needs and managing change documents. Coordination and assistance with issues between business units, developers, quality control, and vendor management are essential, as the individual will facilitate communication regarding proposed system enhancements, testing, workflow changes, and system implementation. The position requires determining solution alternatives and collaborating with other business areas and Information Services to review the advantages and disadvantages of each alternative, ultimately making solution recommendations in partnership with the relevant business units. The individual will analyze issues related to systems or data, identify problems, and document specific business, data, or system requirements. Managing change requests between business units, development, testing, quality control, and vendor management is crucial for coordinating information for proposed system enhancements or data changes, leading to successful system implementation. The role also involves working with the team to determine testing approaches and translating requirements into test plans and test cases, as well as validating technical changes for quality when system testing is not required. Facilitating user acceptance testing and collaborating with various partners to identify requirements and interdependencies across functional areas is a key responsibility. The individual will provide comprehensive Business, Functional, and Technical Requirements documentation that can be signed off by IT and Business Unit subject matter experts and key decision-makers. Understanding and coordinating data flow and system integrations across multiple systems is essential, as is developing and delivering appropriate documentation tailored to meet the needs of diverse staff members. Effective facilitation of meetings and requirement gathering using collaborative methods such as teleconferencing, video conferencing, and webinars is expected. The individual will also provide effort and time estimates for requested system modifications or new system initiatives, demonstrating the ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities to ensure timely delivery. Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge and understanding of systems analysis, testing, and corporate processes is vital, along with maintaining confidentiality and preparing status and management reports as required. The position involves close collaboration with Developers, Test Analysts, and Systems Support Technicians, and may include performing complex configuration changes in business systems while supporting data validation and system testing. Additionally, the individual will develop and maintain technology and business technical recovery plans, coordinate vendor relationships, and act as a project resource for gathering system, business, and data requirements. Building relationships with key business unit resources to understand overall business unit direction and leading business technical activities for small business initiatives using project management methodology are also part of the role. Finally, the individual will assist in establishing business analysis processes utilizing benchmarks and best practices and mentor less senior analysts, as well as participate in peer reviews for level assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in establishing business analysis processes utilizing benchmarks and best practices and mentoring less senior analysts.
  • Assist with peer reviews for level assessments.

Requirements
