About the position

The position is responsible for conducting thorough analysis to identify appropriate solutions to complex business problems through the application of technology. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, application administration, system reviews, and process analysis in collaboration with various business units and the Information Services department. The individual will utilize requirements gathering methods to identify, validate, organize, document, and communicate requirements for priority or complex matters. Additionally, the position entails performing systems analysis and researching business unit requests for reports, data, and changes in application functionality. In this role, the individual will interact with staff from various business units to conduct business analysis of problems that need resolution. They will document business needs and manage change management documents effectively. The position requires coordination and assistance with issues between business units, developers, quality control, and vendor management, ensuring that information is accurately communicated for proposed system enhancements, testing, workflow changes, and system implementation. The individual will analyze issues related to systems or data, identify problems, and document specific business, data, or system requirements. The role also involves managing change requests between business units and development teams, coordinating information for proposed system enhancements or data changes, and delivering these to system implementation. The individual will work with the team to determine the testing approach and translate requirements into test plans and test cases. They will be responsible for validating technical changes for quality where system testing is not required and will coordinate and facilitate user acceptance testing. The position requires collaboration with various partners to identify requirements and interdependencies across functional areas while providing analytics. The individual will be responsible for creating comprehensive Business, Functional, and Technical Requirements documentation that can be signed off by IT and Business Unit subject matter experts. They will maintain an understanding of data flow and system integrations across multiple systems and develop documentation tailored to meet the needs of various staff members. Effective facilitation of meetings and requirement gathering using collaborative methods such as teleconferencing and webinars is essential. The position also requires providing effort and time estimates for system modifications or new initiatives, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of systems analysis, testing, and corporate processes, and preparing status and management reports as needed. The individual will work closely with developers, test analysts, and systems support technicians, and may perform complex configuration changes in business systems while supporting data validation and system testing. Additionally, they will coordinate vendor relationships and act as a project resource for gathering system, business, and data requirements, building relationships with key business unit resources to understand overall business direction. The role includes leading business technical activities for small initiatives using project management methodologies and assisting in establishing business analysis processes utilizing benchmarks and best practices.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Management, or Computer Science.
  • 3 years of experience providing information technology solutions to business problems with proper education credentials.
  • Prior experience with financial software preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IS applications, interfaces, network services, and software development.
  • Advanced knowledge of business problem analysis methods and statistical analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to facilitate information needs from individuals/departments and transform them into IS specifications.
  • Advanced analytical skills and business knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze problems.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency to perform ad hoc queries for analysis and problem solving.
  • Ability to exchange factual and technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to author documentation for clear exchange of technical information with management and customers.
  • Ability to make competent decisions on technological problems, workflow, scheduling, and testing processes.
  • Ability to comprehend the consequences of various problem situations and address them appropriately.
  • Expert proficiency in the use of software specific to the position.
  • Excellent functional and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to utilize various collaborative communication methods.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and a strong sense of urgency while maintaining quality.
