About the position

The Financial Business Systems Analyst III is responsible for designing financial business processes, focusing on the configuration and implementation of financial systems. This role involves gathering requirements, analyzing data, testing systems, and troubleshooting issues, requiring strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Interview stakeholders and end users to gather business requirements for new financial systems or enhancements to existing financial systems.
  • Perform analysis of existing systems and processes and work with system developers and designers to identify, diagnose, and document problems and/or errors.
  • Create and maintain systems documentation including business requirements, functional designs, business cases, user manuals, test plans, test cases and training materials.
  • Coordinate modifications, testing, implementation and maintenance of the automated financial management systems.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and provide recommendations to software system and business process related issues.
  • Create and manage large data mappings files in Excel.
  • Write SQL queries to extract data from databases.
  • Train finance staff in proper utilization of the automated financial management system.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the financial management system team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting or Information Technology.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with financial data analysis and manipulation.
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and/or Microsoft Dynamics strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience writing SQL scripts and queries.
  • Superior Excel and analytical experience.
  • Understanding of relational databases.
  • Accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.
