About the position

The Financial Center Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of the financial center while building strong relationships with clients. This role involves overseeing financial transactions, managing staff, and mitigating operational risks, all while delivering superior client service. The supervisor plays a key role in sales and service, educating clients on financial products and services, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform morning operational huddles.
  • Complete staffing and scheduling coordination and duty assignments.
  • Offer guidance to associates regarding teller transactions and reinforce policy and procedure.
  • Assist with financial center morning and evening duties, including vault operations and teller station setup.
  • Mitigate operational loss and manage cash limits.
  • Perform research and problem-resolution for clients.
  • Support the bank's risk management culture and adhere to review processes.
  • Utilize financial center equipment effectively, including ATMs and cash recyclers.
  • Model sales and service behavior for associates and manage lobby interactions.
  • Manage existing clients and prospects, building relationships and discovering financial needs.
  • Educate clients on self-service options and digital solutions.
  • Refer clients to business partners for specialized financial needs.
  • Process routine and complex transactions for clients.
  • Engage in client management activities and drive sales conversations.
  • Ensure operational and financial safety and soundness.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3 years of cash handling and customer service experience in retail or branch banking, or 1 year with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications.
  • Understanding of banking laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail or branch banking management.
  • Familiarity with National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) requirements.
