About the position

Hill Physicians is looking for a Financial Analyst to be a key member in our Financial Analysis team. This role will have heavy impact to essential, business-critical processes, and will require interactions with other team members within the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative players in the health care industry. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills, data mining and modeling capabilities, keen attention to detail, sound logical reasoning, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects with an impact on financial performance
  • Work with clients to define and frame business problems affecting financial performance; develop analytical approaches, action plans, recommendations and timeframes to support decision-making
  • Provide products and services that meet the clients' analytical needs and that maximize client satisfaction
  • Apply consistent analytical standards, appropriate analytical study design and identification of decision alternatives through the proper framing of project questions, strategic thinking and interpretation of results on financial analyses
  • Use the best financial analysis practices and tools in the production of high quality products
  • Work closely with Clinical Analysis and Software Development to define data extraction requirements
  • Provide support as needed for organizing occasional departmental social events

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience required
  • 3 - 6 years of experience in financial analysis required; healthcare experience desired
  • Ability to determine key business issues and develop plans
  • Experience managing projects and developing recommendations with appropriate levels of supporting analysis
  • Excellent skills in complex analytical problem solving, forecasting and project management
  • Excellent skills in financial, statistical, reporting/pricing theories and other analytical disciplines and the ability to utilize them for practical applications
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills that present complex technical concepts in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills; proficient in other Microsoft software and analytical software products

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in business or healthcare management desired
