About the position
The Financial Consultant position at Orlando Health Medical Group involves the creation, execution, and refinement of financial analyses, processes, accounting, reporting, reimbursement, and fundraising activities. The role supports business planning, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making while ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. The consultant will work closely with leadership to develop financial models, prepare reports, and assist in evaluating financial performance and trends.
Responsibilities
- Support business planning processes, including the development of annual operating and capital budgets.
- Provide accurate internal and external financial accounting and reporting.
- Develop and prepare financial and statistical reports to support leadership in business development and strategic planning.
- Assist with long-term plan, annual budget, and forecast development.
- Collect, analyze, and present financial information to assist leadership in identifying risks and opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships throughout the organization and community.
- Monitor records retention for all departmental records, producing as needed for auditors.
- Manage the external audit process, assuring accurate and timely provision of requested items to the auditors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field may substitute for up to two (2) years of the required experience.
- Four (4) years of experience in financial analysis and planning, accounting, reimbursement, public accounting, philanthropic accounting/finance or consulting.
- Computer experience required with an emphasis on spreadsheet and database programs.
