About the position

The Financial Controller for Munters Corporation is responsible for managing accounting, financial reporting, and analysis for the Data Center Technologies business in the Americas. This role involves overseeing financial operations, maintaining sales reporting, and providing analytical support to ensure effective financial management within a rapidly growing manufacturing environment. The position also includes leading a small finance team and ensuring adherence to corporate internal controls while serving as the primary contact for audit activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounting, Financial Reporting & Analysis for data center technologies business in the Americas.
  • Coordinate with other divisions and US Financial Operations group running shared financial services (A/P, Payroll, General Ledger and Tax).
  • Maintain sales reporting and provide analytical support to the business.
  • Supervise monthly closing and reporting processes, maintaining detailed balance sheet analysis, audit and support.
  • Prepare monthly P&L forecasts, annual budgets and participate in the strategic planning process.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasts as needed.
  • Submit monthly financial reporting, KPI's, and analysis package through group consolidation software.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all audit related activities.
  • Lead the Americas DCT finance organization (1-2 general ledger accountants).
  • Develop best practices for operating working capital improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate internal controls and serve as primary point of contact for the company's external auditors.
  • Oversee Invoicing, Contract and Progress Billing, and Credit functions.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years progressive Accounting experience, at least 5 in Industry / Manufacturing, preferably in a Controllership or Assistant Controllership role.
  • Deep knowledge of an ERP system.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing and cost / job costing.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact with other areas of the business including Sales, Service, Engineering, R&D and Operations.
  • Experience and familiarity with multinational environment including currency, transfer pricing, intercompany commerce.
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills and proficiency with database reporting tools (Business Objects, Crystal Reports, etc).
  • Possess a continuous improvement mindset and a desire to improve the finance department through better use of software and automation tools.
  • Solid communication and leadership skills.
