A great UHY client is seeking a Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, a utility player that is linked to a core competency (i.e. operations or accounting & finance), and have Healthcare industry experience. The Controller role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position. The Controller will provide supervision and leadership, working alongside the Finance Department for Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Payroll. The role involves overseeing the company's transaction processing systems and implementing operational best practices under the supervision of the Executive Director. In the Accounts Receivable area, the Controller will need to understand the billing process from start to finish, which includes contracts, rates, authorizations, services rendered, claim submission, payment, and post-payment processes. They will ensure accurate and timely billing each month, reviewing and approving all monthly billing before submitting it to the Executive Director. For Accounts Payable, the Controller will understand the accounts and processes to ensure accuracy of payments, making recommendations or process changes as needed, and will also review and approve all monthly AP submissions. The Controller will also oversee credit card transactions, ensuring that all avenues for potential waste, abuse, and fraud are identified and eliminated. They will review and approve all monthly credit card charges and submit them to the Executive Director. In terms of Payroll, the Controller will provide oversight of bi-weekly payroll processing and ensure that payroll entries in QuickBooks are submitted timely after payroll is processed. They will also ensure that monthly benefit reconciliation is completed after the final payroll of each month. Additionally, the Controller will oversee the issuance of financial information and reporting to internal or external stakeholders as appropriate, ensuring accuracy and assigning all finance-related functions.
